levain refers to my work as a baker, papier salē to my passion for photography.

i love simple things and want to show them just as they appear to me, imperfect yet always authentic.

the kind of simple things that no-one should ever tire of or forget like the sound of crispy bread, the scent of toasted brioche, the sweet taste of biscuits, the beauty of a domed cake, the feeling of little crackers rolling in the hand. 

it anchors us in the present moment and make us realise how precious it is.

and in the end, what could be more important ?
